BioFor all intents and purposes, Annie Hagen does not exist. She was a golem created by Clayface, a part of himself that he siphoned off to be a scout. But when Annie ventured away from Clayface, her memory failed. The girl wandered the streets of Gotham, lost and frightened, until she was discovered and befriended by Robin. The two of them set out on a quest to help Annie regain her memory. When the truth was discovered Robin valiantly tried to save Annie from Clayface, despite the protests of both that she wasn't real. Annie ultimately sacrificed herself to save Robin from Clayface, was absorbed back into the shapeshifter and ceased to be. Clayface would be defeated by Batman, apprehended and sent back to Arkham Asylum.
But as the doctors at Arkham would soon discover, Annie had not disappeared forever...
